Mary June Namanny, 96, of Manson passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Society in Manson. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 20, 2024, at the Larson- Weishaar Funeral Home in Manson. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

June was the daughter of Morrison and Anna (Rath) Ellis. She was born on November 6, 1927 in Pocahontas County. She attended country school and graduated from Jolley high School in 1945. On August 24th, 1947 she married William Namanny of Ida Grove. They made their home on the Namanny Farm in Ida Grove and then in 1952 moved to the Ellis Farm new Jolley. In 1957 they moved to Rockwell City to operate the Standard Service Station. In 1971 they moved to Emmetsburg to operate a discount store and in 1974 the store was destroyed by a fire. June was a dietician and worked at the Palo Alto County Hospital retiring in 1995. William passed away in 2000 and June moved to West Des Moines and then to Manson in 2006.

June is survived by her children Linda Hildreth and Susan (Mike) Hickman both of Waukee, IA, Sandra Nimke of Manson, IA, Timothy of Euless, TX, and Lori Wray of Waukee, IA; son-in-law Steve Kinnetz; daughter-in-law Carol Namanny of TX; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband William; her parents Morrison and Anna; her daughter Patricia Kinnetz; her son Thomas; daughter-in-law Patricia Namanny, son-in-law Martin Nimke, daughter-in-law Cathy Namanny; infant great-granddaughters Grace and Sydney; her brothers Cecil, Donald, and twin brother Morrison Jr.
